The SupTronics X1007 Dual SATA Expansion for Raspberry Pi 5 adds two 2.5" SATA 3.0 ports with up to 5Gbps speeds via PCIe. Mounts under the Pi 5 without blocking GPIO, powers via pogo pins, and supports mass storage setups.

Introducing the SupTronics X1007 Dual SATA Expansion, designed to provide a mass-capacity storage and high-speed storage solution via PCIe, for your Raspberry Pi 5. This board facilitates the simultaneous connection of two 2.5" HDDs/SSDs, with SATA 3.0 interface speeds reaching up to 5Gbps.

Note: does not currently support booting from SSD with the existing firmware.

The X1007 connects to the underside of the Raspberry Pi 5, eliminating the need for a passthrough for the GPIO. This means you can use your favourite HATs while also utilising this expansion board. The X1007 and your SSDs/HDDs can be powered from Raspberry Pi 5 via chunky pogo pins, using your single USB-C power supply for everything.

The X1007 serves as the perfect storage solution for establishing a home media centre or constructing a network-attached storage (NAS) system.

The X1007 is designed for data storage purposes and does not currently support booting from HDD/SSD with the existing firmware.
