Olimex USB-ISO-HS High-Speed USB Isolator

The Olimex USB-ISO-HS is a USB High-Speed isolator and provides galvanic isolation between the USB host and device and protects the device from power shocks and ground loops that can be very troublesome in audio. The design uses ISOUSB211DPR chip made by Texas Instruments.

The USB-ISO-HS supports Low (1.5Mbps), Full (12Mbps), and Hi-speed (480Mbps) USB transfer modes and works with USB 1.1, USB 2.0, USB 3.0 and USB 3.1 hosts. Hi-Speed 480Mbps mode is required by DACs that support higher than 96kHz/24bit sample rates, and also multi channel DACs. High-speed 480Mbps and also used by high speed JTAG adapters and Digital Storage Oscilloscopes.

USB-ISO-HS can provide up to 350mA to the USB device. If you need more you can apply external power supply to the PWR jack, note that your power supply will be connected directly to your USB device, so it should be galvano isolated also! In most of the cases you do not need to apply external power since 350mA is enough.
